This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. H. F. van Kessel
of this office on October 20-24, 1986 ef activities authorized by NRC License
No. CPPR-105 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. van Kessel with
Mr. R. J. Swiderski and others of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no items of noncompliance were observed.
However, one activity appears to be a deviation from your FSAR commitment.
Attached as Appendix A is a Notice of Deviation. You should follow the
instructions in Appenaix A in providing your response.
The responses directed by this letter and the accompanying Notice are not
subject to the clearance procedures of the Office of Management and Budget as
required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, PL 96-511.
