This letter refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by
Mr. R. A. McBrearty of this office on April 6-24, 1987 at Beaver Valley Power
Station, Unit 2, Shippingport, Pennsylvania.
Mr. R. A. McBrearty discussed
the results of the inspection with Mr. W. H. Sikorski at the conclusion of the
inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no viola'tions were observed.
