We have completed our review of the reference letter in which you informed us of the codes and standards that will provide the design basis for your new f
Record Storage Center at FSV.
In this letter, you also requested ten deviations from these codes and standards. These deviation requests pertain to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard No. 232 (fire protection for record storage facilities) and ANSI N45.2.9-1974 (collection, storage, and maintenance of Quality Assurance records). After evaluation of these deviation requests and discussion with your staff, we have reached the conclusion that approval of these deviations will not compromise the integrity or adversely

affect the protection of the records within the Record Storage Center. With the exception of these approved deviations, the design of the new Record Storage Center will be in accordance with the NRC Standard Review Plan (NUREG-0800)
Section 17.1.17.4 concerning the design of suitable facilities for the storage of Quality Assurance records. The results of our review are contained in the enclosed safety evaluation.
