This report forwards 'the findings of the Beaver Valley Power Station Unit 2

Emergency Preparedness Implementation Appraisal follow up inspection which was

conducted April 21-23, 1987 by Messrs. E. Fox, Jr. and C. Gordon of this of-

fice at your Beaver Valley Power Station Unit 2, Shippingport, Pennsylvania.

Discussions of our findings were held by Mr. Fox with Mr. Pavlechko and other

members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.

The areas examined during this inspection were limited to reviewing your

corrective actions regarding the significant findings and improvement items

,

identified during the Emergency Preparedness Appraisal-(Inspection No. 87-14)

conducted on March 2-6, 1987. Within these areas, the inspection consisted.of

selective examinations of procedures, representative records, interviews with

personnel, and observations by the inspectors which relate to emergency pre-

paredness items in need of corrective action prior to fuel load, low power,

and full power.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed. Those items
