Generic Letter 83-28, Item 2.1 (Part 2) Vendor Interface Prograrrs for RTS Components - McGuire !!uclear Station, Units 1 and 2 By Generic Letter 83-28, Item 2.1 (Part 2) you were requested to confirm that Duke Power Company establisheo an interface with either the NSSS or with the vendors of each of the components of the Reactor Trip System, and to confirm that this interface program includes periodic conmunications between Duke Power Company and the vendor and a system of positive feedback which confirms receipt by Duke Power Company of transmittals of technical infonnation.
We have reviewed your response to Item 2.1 (Part 2) by letter dated November 4, 1983.
Enclosed is our SER in which we find your response to be acceptable.
Part I to Item 2.1 was previously accepted by NRC letter dated July 16, 1986.
Accordingly, we consider Iten 2.1 to be closed for McGuire Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2.
