Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Safety Parameter Display System (SPDS)
Our letter of May 22, 1986 detailed the delays in delivery of vendor-provided hardware and software necessary to make SPDS fully operational. At that time GPUN expected delivery during June,1986, however our vendor, Scientific Systems Services has found it necessary to revise their delivery date.
Material is now scheduled for partial shipment in August,1986 with the remainder being delivered in October,1986.
As identified in our May 22, 1986 letter, site installation and acceptance testing, was estimated to take approximately 2 months. Development time for the Oyster Creek SPDS, with reasonable contingency for expected software difficulties, was 14 months. Based on the above, GPUN requests that the completion date be extended until December,1987. This allows a reduced total time period of 14 months after final delivery for completion of SPDS.
