McGuire 2 DATE:
12/15/86 NARRATIVE SUbefARY Month: November 1986 McGuire Unit 2 returned to service on 11/18 following the completion of its Rotork valve inspection outage. While preparing to swap from the auxiliary feed nozzles to the main feed nozzles, a generator lockout occurred. The lockout was caused by moisture in the "B" train isolated phase bus.
The "B" bus was dried and the unit returned to service on 11/19.
It held power at 50% while waiting for the "A" train isolated phase bus to be dried and placed in service. The unit tripped from 100% power on 11/20, when a technician inadvertently caused a 6900 volt switchgear to lose power. The unit returned to service on 11/21 and increased power to 100% where it operated for the remainder of the month.
