Dear Mr.Denton:
By letters on June 27,1986 and supplemented on November 21,1986, South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (SCE&G) requested a revision to the Virgil C.
Summer Nuclear Station Technical Saecifications. Specifically, this request concerned changes to the Reactor Coolant System (RCS) flowrate measurement uncertainty and the allowable power levels for RCS flowrate less than 100% of thermal design flow.
As requested by your Staff, Final Safety Analysis Report Section 15.1.4,
" Instrumentation Drift and Calorimetric Errors - Power Range Neutron Flux," has been revised to include a requirement to clean and inspect, on a every refueling outage basis, the feedwater flow venturi nozzles.
