SUBJECT:
CATEGORICAL EXCLUSION FOR REQUEST DATED JULY 18, 1986 By letter dated July.18, 1986, Exxon requested an amendment to License No.
SNM-1227 to remove the CTF from the license as an authofiie~d' place of use.
Region V submitted results of a confirmatory survey conducted by Oak Ridge Associated Universities showing that contamination levels are below limits in the license. Therefore, the CTF can be removed from the license as an authorized place of use without any adverse effect to the public health and safety or the environment. Accordingly, pursuant to 10 CFR 51.22(c)(11)','the staff concludes that neither an Environmental Assessment nor an Environmental Impact Statement is warranted for this proposed action.
