SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT, LICENSE AMENDMENT APPLICATION DATED JANUARY 23, 1987, RE NAME CHANGE (ADVANCED NUCLEAR FUELS CORPORATION)

Background

Exxon Nuclear Corporation was an affiliate of Exxon Corporation. Siemens Capitol Corporation acquired ENC and changed the name of the corporation.

The requested action is to amend the license to reflect the name change.

Discussion ENC will remain a Delaware Cor oration but will henceforth be known as Advanced Nuclear Fuels Corporation (ANF.. ANF is an acquisition of Siemens Capitol Corporation, a U. S. affiliate of Kraftwerk Union AG (KWU).

KWU is a wholly-owned affiliate of Siemens, AG, FRG..

There are no changes to the license, other than the name of the corporation, or to licensee operations.

i Conclusion / Recommendation The change in the name of the licensee will have no effect on the public health and safety or on the environment. Approval is recommended.
