d S N!ARY OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE.

JANUARY-1987.

' Indian Point Unit I was synchronized to the bus for a total'of 734'.08 hours9.259259e-5 days
0.00222 hours
1.322751e-5 weeks
3.044e-6 months
, producing a gross generation of 709,370 MWe for this reporting period.

On January 31, 1987 at 1402 hours0.0162 days
0.389 hours
0.00232 weeks
5.33461e-4 months
32 Main Boiler' Feed Pump _ tripped, causing a Reactor trip and Turbine trip'due to'33 Steam Generator low level at 1405 hours0.0163 days
0.39 hours
0.00232 weeks
5.346025e-4 months
.

Subsequent investigation revealed foreign matter blocking orifices in the multiple orifice and check valve assembly of the boiler feed pump. This

- blockage caused autostop oil pressure to drop, causing the. trip. As corrective -

action, the control oil system components were cleaned and reinstalled with new

. gaskets. The oil in the boiler feed pump. lube oil reservoir was also replaced.

The unit remained shutdown for the remainder of the reporting period.
