DOCKET NO: 50-369 UNIT: Mecuire 1 DATE: 10/15/86 NARRATIVE SUM &\\RY Month: september 1986 McGuire Unit I returned from its refueling outage on 9/14/86 and following power escalation operated at 100% power until 9/24 when the Digital Exectro-Hydraulic Turbine Governor valve controls malfunctioned. The Governor valves received a signal to close which caused the Turbine and Reactor to trip.

It returned to service on 9/25 and after a chemistry hold increased power to 100%.

It operated at that level for the balance of the month.
