Dear Mr. Denton:
Reference (a) provided our schedule for implementation of Reg.
Guide 1.97 modifications at Dresden and Quad Cities. As a result of equipment procurement and delivery delays, we will be unable to complete many of the Quad Cities Unit 2 modifications during the upcoming oc Mber 1986 refeuling outage as originally planned. Attachment A provides our revised modification completion schedule. The following table summarizes our planned implementation strategy.

Al, A2 These modifications will be initiated during the 10/86 Unit 2 outage. Since the required transmitters will not be available to support installation this outage, they will be installed and the modification completed during a dual unit outage in the Fall of 1987.
A6 This modification will be initiated during the 10/86 Unit 2 outage, with the recorder installation to be completed during unit operation (6/01/87).
15 This item will be completed on the original schedule.
32 This modification involves work in the drywell and therefore has been rescheduled to the next Unit 2 refuel outage (Spring, 1988) po )
