Thank you for your letter concerning NRC participation in the development of a major civil readiness exercise, REX-88 ALPHA, to be conducted in the late fall, 1987. The NRC will oarticipate in the planning and conduct of this exercise to the fullest extent appropriate.
I am designating Bernard H. Weiss (492-7053) as a project officar for REX-88 ALPHA to work with your staff in developing and conducting this exercise. Mr. Kenneth E. Perkins (492-7361) is the NRC official designated to work with Mr. Krueger through all phases of the exercise.
