This refers to the routine inspection conducted by Mr. L. Briggs of this office
on
February
2-13,
1987,
at Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No.
2,
Shippingport, Pennsylvania, of activities authorized by NRC License No.
CPPR-105 and to the discussions of our findings held by Messrs. Briggs and
David Wallace with Mr. Noonan and others of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection.

Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Our
inspectors also verified the steps you had taken to correct the violations
brought to your attention in a letter dated November 17, 1986.
We have no
further questions regarding Item A.
With regard to Item B, we found your
-records of additional instruction concerning verification of system pre-
requisites prior to testing, to be incomplete.
These records will be
reinspected during a future inspection.
