Concern on Nuclear Securitv Organization This letter is to advise you of the status of actions taken and underway relative to a concern identified in your Inspection Report No. 50-341/85044 regarding the Nuclear Security Organization.

In response to items identified in Paragraphs 3.b and 5.a of the report, Nuclear Security management has p r ov id ed more clearly defined job rasponsibilities and a c c oun t ab ili t ie s for Security Staff positions, and has initiated an employe enrichment program highlighting the placement of Nuclear Security personnel on developmental assignments in other Nuclear Operations Services organizations.

Nuclear Security management will emphasize continued enhancement,of responsibility identification as well as the accomplishment by Nuclear Security of specific goals that are identified in the Nuclear Security Strategic Improvement Program for 1986.

The Nuclesr Security Strategic Improvement Program will also respond to cencerns expressed in NRC safegaurds inspections during Ncvember and December 1985, and to your letter issued pursuant to 10 CFR 50.54(f) dated December 24, 1985.
