Inspection Report No. 50-333/88-10.
A routine safety inspection was conducted by Mr. B. S. Davidson of this office
on June 6-10, 1988 at the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Plant. Our findings
were discussed with yourself and others of your staff et the conclusion of the
inspection on June 10, 1988.
Areas of the radioactive effluent controls program examined during this
'

inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection Raport, which is
enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of
.
selective examination of procedures and representative records, interviews
with personnel and observations by the inspector.
The inspection indicated that your program did not perform audits of the
Effluent Controls and Radiological Environmental Monitoring Programs resulting
in an apparent violation of NRC requirements. Details are provided in the
enclosed Appendix A.
You are required to respond to these findings by
following .the instructions included in Appendix A.
