Dear Mr. Andrews:

Gray File 3.3a(4) EButcher The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.107to Facility Operating License No. DPR-40 for the Fort Calhoun Station, Unit No. 1. This amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your application dated January 8, 1986 [ sic] (1987).

The amendment deletes the hydrogen flouride detectors from Tables 2-11 and 3-3 of the Technical Specifications. By NRC letter dated March 12, 1987, you were notified of the termination of Part 40 Materials License No. SMC-1420 that authorized the possession of natural uranium floride at the Fort Calhoun site.

The amendment deletes the hydregen flouride detectors from Tables 2-11 and 3-3 of the Technical Specifications. By NRC letter dated March 12, 1987, you were notified of the termination of Part 40 Materials License No. SMC-1420 that authorized the possession of natural uranium hexafluoride at the Fort Calhoun site.

A copy of the Safety Evaluation is also enclosed. The notice of issuance will be included in the Comission's next regular bi-weekly Federal Register notice.
