LOCAL PUBLIC DOCUMENT ROOMS (LPDRs) FOR NMS$

FACILITIES This is to inform you that as a result of recent meetings between our staffs in April and May, the HMSS LPDR program will be turned over to hMSS effective July 1.1981. Included will be the LPORs for fuel cycle f acil itie.t (Docket 40 and 70), low-level waste facilities (Docket 27),

and Barnwell/NFS.

Jona Souder. Chief of the LPOR Branch, and her staff will be available to provide whatever assistance NMSS may need during the transition period. Ms. Souder can be reached on extension 27536 Should additional staff become available to the LPOR Branch through the budget process or should NMSS decide to transfer a position and funds to us as discussed in my February 6,1981, memorandum to John G. Davis. i we would be in a position to a;sume responsibility for the reafntenance and operation of the subject LPORs.
