April 25, 1986 Docket No. 50-219 Mr.-R. F. Wilson Vice President and Director Technical Functions 100 Interpace Parkway Parsippany, New Jersy 07054
Dear Mr. Wilson:
SUBJECT:
PROVIDE IBM PC COMPATIRLE CAPABILITY TO LICENSING Re:
Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station We believe that you should consider providing an IBM compatible PC, modem, and appropriate supporting software to the Director of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and the site licensing group.
As explained to the Manaaer of BWR Licensing for Oyster Creek in the January 30, 1986, meeting called by me, this directorate is implementing a PC driven work management tracking system independent of the NRR Licensing Action Report. We are now at the point where we can transfer data to the Manager of BWR Licensing for Oyster Creek and the licensing group onsite at an agreed upon frequency to keep you informed and up-to-date on all licensing actions before the staff. This would also allow the capability of electronic messages between licensing and the staff instead of always usino the present practice of phone calls. These licensing actions are actions either being scheduled by you to be submitted to the staff or being worked on now by the staff. This information would be placed on the public docket through the monthly meeting between the staff Project Manager and the Manager of BWR Licensing for Oyster Creek and your submittals to the staff.
We can provide you with a floppy disc of the licensing actions data that we have on the station. We can also provide you with a floppy disc of the retyped Oyster Creek Appendix A Technical Specifications after it has been issued by the staff.
Sincerely, ORIGINAT. SIC'erAD BY John A. Zwolinski, Director BWR Pro.iect Directorate #1 Division of BWR Licensing cc: Sae next page DISTRIRUTION Docket File BGrimes PD#1 Reading CJamerson NRC PDR JPartlow RBernero JZwolinski Local PDR JDonohew OELD ACRS (10)
