GENERIC LETTER 83-28, ITEMS 3.1.3 AND 3.2.3 (TAC 53079, 53868)

Re:

Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station In Generic Letter 83-28, Items 3.1.3 and 3.2.3, the staff requested that you review the existing Technical Specifications for Pilgrim Station to determine whether any post-maintenance testino requirements might degrade rather than enhance safety.

Your responses dated November 7, 1983 and June 28, 1985, stated that no post-maintenance testing requirements had been identified in the Pilgrim Technical Specifications that would degrade safety of the reactor trip system or other safety-related components. The staff, with the assistance of a contractor, has reviewed your responses and has found them to be acceptable.

This concludes the staff's action on Items 3.1.3 and 3.2.3 relative to Pilgrim Station.
