ZION GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 - ISOLATION DEVICES THAT INTERFACE WITH SPDS In response to Generic Letter 82-33, Conrnonwealth Edison Company submitted an l SPDS Safety Analysis Report (SAR) by letter dated January 20, 1984. The staff reviewed the SAR and concluded it was incomplete and requested specific information by letter dated June 1, 1984 on isolation devices used between SPDS and Class 1E safety related equipment. The requested information was received by letter dated September 7, 1984. The staff held telephone conversations with the licensee on January 14 and 22, 1986 to clarify the l submittal.
Enclosed is our SER which addresses the acceptability of the isolators. Based on our review of the information provided, we conclude that the isolators were reviewed and accepted as part of the Westinghouse Topical Report (WCAP-7819 and 7824) review.
