SUBJECT:
DIFFERING PROFESSIONAL VIEW (DPV) - SUMMER SYSTEMATIC ASSESSMENT OF LICENSEE PERFORMANCE (SALP)
This responds to your June 19, 1997, memo forwarding the recommendation of the DPV Panel and requesting a plan and schedule for actions.
The DPV. Panel should be commended in the cor, ebensiveness of it's review.
The Panel's report compares this SALP to the previous SALP as if the previous report is a standard. This.was not necessarily the correct approach to take.
a This was also an opportunity to address a larger is.ue that is the criticism for possibly overrated SALP scores in Region II, in the past, especially-in Plant Support.
However, this may not have been the best forum to do that.
In this light-I forward the following plan:
Pla_D Schedule 1)
Review DPV Panel recommendations by:
DRP BC coordinate with NRR and DRS to propose 7/15 revised SALF report and licensee response letter.
3)
SALP Board re convene to reconsider SALP 7/22 report and category rating.
4) 5 ALP Coard forward revised letter to the RA 7/30 with revised SALP report.
