The NRC was informed that approximately 553 concrete repairs, made l
by the dry pack technique, have the potential of being i
structurally unsound.
Since the initial notification of the nonconformance, CP&L has initiated a program to identify structural repairs using the dry pack technique, and is currently in the process of evaluating these repairs on a case-by-case basis. Those repairs found to be structurally unscund will be removed and repaired.
CP&L is in the process of evaluating identified worst case conditions to determine reportability of this item. It is currently projected that we will require until May 30, 1986 to complete our evaluation and report on the reportability of this item.
