N be stored in accordance with the statements, representations, and E

N conditions specified in the application. The authorized E

N examinations and tests may be performed in the Academic Projects E

Building or the Breazeale Nuclear Reactor Facility.

Authorized use:

The materials specified in Conditions 6.A through 6.G

N shall be used in accordance with-the statements, representations, and

'E lg conditions specified in the application dated May 7, 1992, and supple-g l

ments dated Harch 22, August 5, and October 5, 1993; and September 4, h

1997; except as modified by other conditions in this license. The Ig q

licensee is authorized to possess, store, and transfer to another Ig licensee, tut not use, the materials specified in Condition 6.B.

y Storage of the fuel elements shall be in accordance with~ statements, g

representations, and conditions specified in the application. Up to two y

fuel elements may be removed at one time from the storage vault for y

y t

physical measurements or for examination and testing as necessary for

l accountability purposes.

Insertion of source or special nuclear material covered by this y

y license into a nuclear reactor is not authorized.

Sections 19, 24, 25, and 26 of Supplement B of the application dated May 7, 1992, shall not be incorporated into this license.

13.

The authorizations to use the radioactive materials, issued by the E

University Isotopes Comittee, shall be granted for a 1-year E

period.

For contin"ing work, a new request is to be approved by E

the University Isotopes Committee prior to the expiration of an existing authorization.

lE Ej 14.

The minimum technical qualifications for members of the University E

R isotopes Comittee shall be a bachelor's degree in science or j

E si engineering and at least 3 years' experience with radioactive materials or possession of a medical degree. The minimum E

E qualifications need act apply to the member from the University Administration.

Refresher training which covers radiation safety procedures shall j
