Inspection No. 50-219/86-07
A routine safety inspection of your annual emergency preparedness exercise was
conducted by Mr. C. Gordon of this office and other members of an NRC team on
April 9-10, 1986, at your Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station, Forked
River, New Jersey. Discussions of our findings were held by Mr. Gordon with
you and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed. Within these areas the inspection
consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records,
-
interviews with personnel, and observation of the emergency exercise by team
members.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were c5 nrved. GPU
Nuclear's performance during the exercise demonstrated che ability to
implement the Emergency Plan and Emergency Plan 7.npie.r.:nting Procedures in a
manner to provide protective measures for the heslth and safety of the public.
