Dear Mr. Fiedler:
JPartlow
SUBJECT:
1985-2 SEMIANNUAL EFFLUENT RELEASE REPORT AND 1985 ANNUAL ENVIRONMENTAL OPERATING REPORT (TACS 61214,61217)
Re:
Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station We have reviewed the 1985 Semi-Annual Effluent Release Report (SERR) for the period covering July 1985 to December 1985 and the 1985 Annual Environmental Operating Report (AEOR) for Oyster Creek. These reports were submitted by your letters dated March 3, and April 1,1986, respectively.
This review has not raised any concerns about the operation of Oyster Creek in 1985. We request, however, that you submit the noble gas gaseous effluent releases for July to December 1985. The SERR stated that an addendum would be submitted once the data on ground level releases of noble gases was available; however, this addendum has not been submitted.
In the AEOR, it was stated that the annual report on impingement of organism would be submitted consistent with the schedule for additional studies on impingement being done for the Oyster Creek Section 316 (a and b) demonstration for the State of New Jersey. This report was expected to be submitted by the end of May 1986.
It was also stated that the annual report for the water quality study and the woodborer monitoring program, which is submitted or a schedule separate from the AEOR, will be submitted also at the end of May 1986.
This is acceptable.
For the noble gas effluent releases discussed above, please provide a schedule within 3 weeks of receipt of this letter for submitting the report.
Submittal of this report should be done within a reasonable period of time.
Sincerely, I
