This. refers to the special safeguards inspection conducted by Mr. G. C. Smith
of this of fice on November 6,1987, at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating
Station of activities authorized by NRC License No. OPR-16 and to the
discussions of our findings held by Mr. Smith with yourself and members of the
GPUN staff at the conclusion of'the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
\\
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection coneisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosure
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
