STROME (CONTENTION RYE-2)
I, RICHARD H. STROME, being on oath, depose and say as follows:
1.
I am the Director of the New Hampshire Civil Defense Agency (NHCDA).
2.
An originally submitted to the parties and the Board in this proceeding, the local emergency plan for the Town of Rye made no reference to the Rannie Webster Nursing and Elderly Home.
3.
Having been made aware of the Rannie Webster Nursing and Elderly Home, NHCDA is now preparing materials to be inserted into the State Plan, and particularly into the local RERP for the Town of Rye, detailing procedures for Rannie Webster Nursing and Elderly Home.
4.
It is my opinion that the inclusion of these materials within the local plan for the Town of Rye will provide reasonable 8605290615 860520 PDR ADOCK 05000443 PDR G
, assurance that adequate protective measures can and will be taken at the Rannie Webster Home in the event of a radiological emergency at Seabrook Station.
