, PADUCAH GASEOUS DIFFUSION PLANT l DOCKET 70-7001 The staff performed a preliminary review of the Paducah Seismic Hazard Analysis, Revision 2, submitted September 18,1998, which included in Appendix D, answers to the staff's previous i request for additional information (RAl). Based on this preliminary review, your answers to l question 6 of NRC's earlier RAI are insufficient for NRC to complete its review. Consequently, the staff requests amplification of your previous answers to include the information below.

1. Provide documentation for the site response calculations performed by Pacific Engineering and Analysis, Inc., including assumptions, equations used, input parameters, and a discussion of computer programs used for such calculations and results,

2. Provide documentation for the calculation of V(soil)/H(rock) ratios. Provide a description of procedures (including equations, and a description of computer programs) used for calculating V(soil)/H(rock) ratios. Pacific Engineering and Analysis,Inc. documnntation for such calculations should be provided, if they performed the calculations.

3. Were the ca!culations, results, computer programs, documentation, etc., used by Pacific Engineering and Analysis, Inc., reviewed by USEC quality assurance and engineering personnel as part of the quality assurance review performed by USEC following the l May 18-19,1998 meeting at REl's offices? Describe USEC's review of work performed l by Pacific Engineering and Analysis (and any other subcontractors used by REI).
