BEAVER VALLEY UNIT 2 - REDUCTION OF REQUIRED NUMBER OF INCORE INSTRUMENT THIMBLES (TAC 66946)
By letter dated January 13, 1988 you requested an amendment to the Technical Specifications to reduce the number of required incore instrument thimbles from 75% to 50% of the total number of thimbles.
We have completed our review of your submittal. Meanwhile, your staff informed us that your operators have unclogged all the thimbles.
Thus the conditions that resulted in the need for the proposed amendment no longer exist.
Therefore, no amendment is issued. The enclosed safety evaluation is provided only for your information.
