SUBJECT:

RENUMBERING OF NRC REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON CALVERT CLIFFS NUCLEAR POWER PLANT LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION SUBMITTED BY THE BALTIMORE GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY (TAC NO. MA2156)

Dear Mr. Cruse:

By letter dated April 8,1998, Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE) submitted for Nuclear Regulator Commission (NRC) review the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant License Renewal Application (LRA).

By letters dated February 13, February 19, July 9, August 6, August 11, August 21, August 26, August 27, August 28, August 31, September 1, September 2, September 3, September 4, and September 7,1998, the NRC staff issued requests for additional information (RAl) on BGE's LRA.

In the interest of facilitating tracking and resolution of BGE's responses to the staff's RAI, we are forwarding BGE the numbering system that the staff intends to use in tracking BGE's responses to the RAI and the resolution of the responses. In responding to the staff's RAI, the staff requests that BGE use the numbering scheme as outlined in the enclosed table.

If you have any questions regarding the new numbering scheme, please contact me at 301-415-1973.

Sincerely, OdobalaredW David L. Solorio, Project Manager License Renewal Project Directorate Division of Reactor Program Management Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation Docket Nos. 50-317 and 50-318
