A special safety inspection was conducted by Dr. S. Sherbini and Ms. J. Cioffi
of this office on December 21, 1985 of activities authorized by NRC License No.
DPR-16. Discussions of our findings were held by Dr. Sherbini and Ms. Cioff t
with Messrs. M. Littleton ar.d P. Scalloa of your staff at the- conclusion of the
inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. The inspection of the
events and circumstances that led to iodine uptakes by workers at the' Oyster
Creek Nuclear Generating Station consisted of selected examinations of
procedures and interviews with personnel.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
No reply to this letter is required. Your cooperation with us in this matter
is appreciated.
