This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. M. Dev of this
office on January 4-8, 1988 of activities at Oyster Creek Generating Station,
Forked River, New Jersey and GPUN Corporation office at Parsippany, New Jersey
authorized by NRC License No. OPR-16 and to the discussions of our findings
held by Mr. Dev with you and of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Our inspectors also verified the steps you have taken to correct the violations
brought to your attention in' letters dated August 6, 1987 and November 10,
1987. We have no further questions regarding your actions at this time.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of. procedures and
,
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation by the

inspectors.
