REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONCERNING BG&E RESPONSES TO GENERIC LETTER 83-28 ITEM 2.2.2 (TACS 53659 & 53660)
The staff has completed a review of your submittals dated November 5,1983, February 29, 1984, June 7, 1985, and July 17, 1987, with respect to your responses for Item 2.2.2 of Generic Letter 83-28, "Required Actions Based on Generic Implications of Salem ATWS Events." The staff has determined that additional information is necessary to facilitate the completion of our review concerning your responses tc this item.
Our request for additional is enclosed.
Please respond tc this request for additional information within 45 days of the issuance of this letter.

REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONCERNING ITEM 2.2.2 0F GENERIC LETTER 83-28 BALTIMORE GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY CALVERT CLIFFS NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 DOCKET NOS. 50-317 AND 50-318 In your July 17, 1987 response to our June 1, 1987 request for additional information regarding Generic Letter 83-28, Item 2.2.2, you stated that you agreed with the concept that 6 formal interface program should be established with some vendors (such as the diesel generator, safety-related switchgear, j
etc.) if practicable. You also stated that you would consult with and i
evaluate a potential field of vendors and determine by September 30, 1987 any additional interface programs that you would develop similar to that which you currently have with Combustion Engineering, Inc.
7 Please provide:
1.
A description of the additional vendor interface programs that you determined would be appropriate and practicable, and 2.
A commitment to establishing and maintaining these additional vendor interface programs by a certain date.
