APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Philadelphia Electric Company Docket Nos.
50-277 Peach Bottom Atomic Power-Station 50-278 Units 2 and 3 License Nos. DPR-44 DPR-56 As a result of the inspection conducted on January 6-10, 1986, and in accordance with the NRC Eriforcement Policy (10 CFR 2, Appendix C), the following violation was identified:
Section 6.9.2.h(2) of the Units 2 and 3 Technical Specifications states that "The Radioactive Effluent Release Reports shall include a summary of the quantities of radioactive liquid and gaseous effluents and solid waste released from the site."
Contrary to the above, although the sampling and analysis was performed for Fe-55 as required by Table 4.8.1 of the Technical Specifications, this nuclide was not included in the summary of liquid effluents.
This is a. Severity Level V violation (Supplement I).
Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, Philadelphia' Electric Company is hereby required to submit to this office within thirty days of the date of the letter which transmitted this Notice, a written statement or explanation in reply,. including: (1) the corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved; (2) corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further violations; and (3) the date when full compliance will be achieved. Where good cause is shown, consideration will be given to extending this response time, hhk
