HRC INSPECTION REPORT N0. 50-302/88-15
This refers to the Nuclear Regulatory Comission (NRC) inspection conducted by
W. M. Sartor on June 7-9, 1988. The inspection included a review of activities
authorized for your Crystal River facility.
At the conclusion of ' the
' inspection, the findings were discussed with those members of your staff
identified in the enclosed inspection report.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report.
Within
these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures
and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of
activities in progress.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identified.
Your attention is directed to the exercise weaknesses identified in
Paragraphs 5 and 8 of the enclosed Inspection Report.
As required by
10 CFR 50, Appendix E, Section IV.F. any weaknesses that are identified shall
be corrected. Accordingly, please advise us within 45 days of the date of this
letter, the corrective action you have taken, or plan to take, showing the
estimated date of completion with regards to the exercise weaknesses.
Please
note that the enclosed report documents an oral comitment regarding one of the
weaknesses (see Paragraph 8) made by a licensee representative immediately
following the exit interview.
If your understanding of this commitment differs
from the report statements, please inform this office promptly.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," Part 2,
Title 10 Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and its enclosure
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
The responses directed by this letter and its enclosure are not subject to the
clearance procedures of the Office of Management and Budget as required by the
Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, Pub. L. No.96-511.
