DETAILED CONTROL ROOM DESIGN REVIEW Re: Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station By letter dated May 16, 1985, we requested that Boston Edison Company submit a Supplemental Summary Report with additional information for Detailed Control Room Design Review (DCRDR) of Pilgrim Station. As indicated on page 21 of the Technical Evaluation Report enclosed with our letter, we understood that Boston Edison. intended to submit the Supplement on November 30, 1985, so as to accomplish your scheduled completion of all DCRDR modifications by the end of Refueling Outage number 8 (about December 1986).

The purpose of this letter is to remind you that the Supplement is now overdue. I am of the belief that many unforeseen circumstances may arise affecting any given licensing action. Noting the recent NRR reorganization and my desire to ensure progressive interactive dialogue, it is my view that your staff should provide my project manager with the date on which you will submit the Supplement. If you anticipate that completion of the modifications will be delayed, indicate to him the probable extent of the delay and provide details with your submittals. Should questions exist I will be happy to discuss this matter, personally.
