NONCONFORMANCE AT WNP-2; TIA 85-37 OF SAFETY EQUIPMENT TO APPENDIX R REQUIREMENTS

Responding to your memorandum, Reference-(3), NRR has prepared a Safety Evaluation, enclosed, relative to the Appendix R Nonconformance issue that was identified in Reference (1) and addressed by the Supply System in Reference _(2).

As indicated 'in the enclosed SER, the NRR staff has found the Supply System's proposed resolutions to be acceptable with the proviso that the transfer switch to be located out;Ide the control room (see Deficiency 7 Reference 2) normally should be set in t.iie " isolate" position. We_suggest that you obtain verifica-tion that the Supply System accepts and will implement this proviso.

This completes our action relative to TIA 85-37.
