Dear Mr. Ryan:
Your letter of August 27, 1985 to President Reagan was forwarded to this office for reply direct to you.
You will recall that your previous correspon-dence to Chairman Palladino regarding the Nine Mile Point Unit 2 facility was also referred to this office asking that we respond to you on the Chairman's behalf.
I did so in my letter to you dated July 12, 1985.
As pointed out in that letter, this case was still under investigation and review. The situation remains essentially the same. This office will not issue a report of investi-gative findings until all field investigative work has been completed and the final report has been appropriately reviewed by headquarters.
Although I can appreciate your concerns and interest in this matter, I must ask that you have patience until the final report of investigation is released.
At that time you should file a Freedom of Information Act request for a copy of the report. The procedure for doing so was explained to you in a letter dated May 29, 1985, from Mr. K. Christopher, the Field Office Director of our King of Prussia office.
Again, it is my hope that this will clarify the matter to your satisfaction.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
