Project Directorate 11-2 Project Manager:

J. Norris Review Branch:

SRXB Review Status:

Complete By letter dated January 20, 1995 Florida Power & Light Company requested changes to the Technical Specifications for St. Lucie Units No. I and No. 2.

These proposed changes will relocate Technical Specifications 3/4.3.3.2 to the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report, and revise Linear Heat Rate surveillance 4.2.1.4, and Special Test Exceptions surveillance 4.10.2.2, 4.10.4.2 (Unit 2 only), and 4.10.5.2, accordingly.

j The Reactor Systems Branch has reviewed these proposed changes and finds them acceptable, however justification for changes to the number and distribution of incore detectors operable should be carefully documented. Our SER (Enclosure 1) details the necessary elements to be considered if changes to the number and distribution of incore detector locations operable for measurement of core power limits are made.

Our SALP evaluation is provided in attachment 2.

This completes the SRXB effort on TAC Nos. M91406 and M91407.
