ST. LUCIE UNIT 1 - WITHDRAWAL OF AMENDMENT REQUEST (TAC NO. M85225)

By letter dated December 17, 1992, you applied for an amendment to the St.

Lucie Unit 1 Operating License, No. OPR-67. The proposed change would have allowed certain monitoring functions to be performed with a reduced number of operable incore detector locations. Subsequently, by letter dated March 31, 1993, you withdrew the amendment request.

The Commission has filed the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to Facility Operating License with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.

NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The United Stated Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Commission) has granted the request of Florida Power & Light Company (the licensee) to withdraw its December 17, 1992 application for proposed amendment to Facility i

Operating License No. DPR-67 for St. Lucie, Unit 1, located in St. Lucie County, Florida.

The Comission had previously issued a Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on January 21, 1993 (58 FR 5432). However, by letter dated March 31, 1993, the licensee withdrew the proposed change.

For further details with respect to this action, see the application for amendment dated December 17, 1992, and the licensee's letter dated March 31, 1993, which withdrew the application for licensee amendment.
