DOCKET NO 50-369 UNIT: MCGUIRE 1 DATE: 10/15/85 NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

MONTH: September 1985 McGuire Unit 1 began September at 100% power, but reduced to 10% on 9/06 and 9/07 to repair a faulty oil level switch on a Reactor Coolant pump.

The unit returned to 100% and operated at that level until 9/18. A Moisture Separator Reheater relief valve lifted and would not reset.

The unit dropped to 20% before the valve could be closed and then returned to 100% and operated at that level for the balance of September.
