Corrected Report Regarding Safety Parameter Display System -
McGuire Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2 My letter dated February 6,1986, transmitted the staff's Safety Evaluation Report (SER) regarding the McGuire Safety Parameter Display System (SPDS).
We have subsequently discovered that that SER was an earlier draft which had not fully reflected the results of the staff's review of Duke's reply of November 27, 1985 to the NRC's last request for additional information.
Enclosed is the intended final version which includes the additional text.
We request you substitute the enclosure for the earlier SER.
The staff's conclusions in the February 6,1986, letter and earlier SER, in-cluding those regarding acceptability for interim implementation and our need for certain further justifications or changes, are not altered by this later SER. Your schedule for resolution of the open items should be provided to the NRC within 60 days of the date of this letter transmitting the corrected SER.
