SUSJECT: PROGRESS REPORT ON PART 35 This is in response to your nenorandun of Decenher 20, 1933 that asked for a nonthly progress report on Part 35. The revision of Part 35 is on schedule.

The staff plan that was circula'ted Deceaber 6,1983 indicated that the first nilastone, distribution of the regulation, preanble, and regulatory guide for review, would be reached on February 28, 1984 Those naterials will be distributed about February 10, 1984. The package will also include drafts of a transnittal nenorandun fron you to l'r. Dircks, a Connission paper, a periodic and systenatic review statenent, a regulatory analysis, ar, environnental inpact analysis, a sumary analysis of concents on the SECY-83-62 proposed regulation, and a sunnary table of all calendar year 1982 human use licensee citations that shows how the citations would be issued under the proposed regulation.
