ENCLOSURE REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION In the event of.a small LOCA that is subsequently isolated, the containment conditions could become harsh enough to preclude credit being given for use of the RHR pumps unless they were properly qualified for the environment.
Due to the lack of a water source to the sump, the low pressure recirculation pumps could not be used and long term decay heat removal would have to be accomplished by the steam generators.
Please describe the sources of water available to provide feedwater to the steam generators and assure long term cooling per 10 CFR 50.46.
Discuss the reliability of these water sources and the water quality.
