SUBJECT:
QUESTIONABLE WELD RECORD - WOLF CREEK This memorandum is written as a follow up to my November 13, 1984 memorandum to you, subject as above.
I am requesting that the Office of Investigations, Region IV, perform an inquiry / investigation into this matter, as you deem appropriate. Although I have no additional information that would indicate whether this is an isolated or more widespread problem, I would nevertheless like you to look into it.
Region IV will provide technical assistance at your request.
You should be aware of the licensee's schedule. The reinspection of structural steel was scheduled to be completed by November 18, 1984.
The licensee has indicated that the findings from the corrective action program are planned to be issued by December 1, 1984.
