LATEST TI 126 STUFF /
'gg g In today's meeting (Tuesday 2/7) we reviewed the first half of Region II's submittals (qty 10). We also reviewed the format for our summary report. The report will be in the form of a letter from Thadani to NEI (with Russell concurrence). The purpose of this letter is to fulfill NRC's agreement to keep NEI informed of the results of our inspection findings from the " quick look" (TI) inspections. The letter should be reasonably short and structured to provide a i big picture of the results. More detailed discussions / results will be provided .

As stated earlier, I will prepare a draft letter (by COB Thursday) and give it to the team for detailed review and comment. This is your secor.d chance (your ,
first shot being at the review meetings) to provide input so don't let it slide l
. by. Obviously, it will also have to be reviewed / concurred on by the rest of the management chain, including our section and branch chiefs. Once the team has come up with a reasonably solid effort (hopefully Monday), we should provide draft copies within our branches for review prior to the official concurrence package (in the interest of time!).
Our next meeting will be tommorrow (Wednesday) at 1:30 again. Let's try to do i all fifteen (15) of the Region I plant submittals we've received, but at least the first ten (10). I'll try to update the evaluation matrix tonight or early tommorrow and distribute it to the team. Keep smiling. - Ron P.S. Meetings are now scheduled.from 1:30 to 3:30 but should not last past 3:00.
