799 Roosevelt Road Glen Ellyn, Illinois 60137 Attention:
Mr. Boyce H. Grier, Regional Director
Dear Sir:
This is in response to your letter dated March 4, 1971 addressed to Mr.
E. C.
Stewart.
The following action has been taken in connection with the three items of non-compliance found by Mr.
Ashely at our facility during his recent visit.
A.
Each authorized user and the radiation safety
~
officer have been advised to keep records of each and every survey made in our facility.
Also we have advised these people to make surveys more of ten than it was done in the past.
B.
The old Laurel Laboratory at Cleveland, Ohio was released as unrestricted area in the middle of last year.
The survey of the area was made by Mr. Ravaschieri at that time, but these could not be located.
I have surveyed this area very recently and the result of this are described in my letter of Feoruary 24, 1971 addressed to Division of Material licensing at Washington and a copy of which was sent to you also.
C.
We have applied for an amendment of our license to include 300 mei of any isotope and the excess amount of Kr85 will not be used until we receive permission from the Division of Material licen-sing office in Washington.
