CMiles RBallard JNorton KRidgway FMaura The Comission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 90 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-39 and Amendment No. 80 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-48 for the Zion Nuclear Power Station, Unit Nos.1 and 2, respectively. The amendments consist of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your application transmitted by letter dated January 30, 1985; supplemented July 8, 1985.
These amendments would: (a) Pennit full pressure testing of the contair, ment in accordance with 10 CFR 50, Appendix J as requested by NRC-Region III; (b) add containment air lock testing; (c) reduce the number of tendons to be included in surveillance requirements in accordance with Regulatory Guide 1.35, Revision 2; and (d) remove obsolete containment liner surveillance requirements.
4 A copy of the related Safety Evaluation is enclosed. A Notice of Issuance will be included in the Comission's next regular bi-weekly Federal Register notice.
